About TickerBase

TickerBase is a free stock research site: financial-statement history for 5,167 US companies, interactive charts, and do-it-yourself DCF valuation workbenches. It is also the home of Behind the Moat, a value-investing publication — each episode analyzes one company through the lens of Warren Buffett, Peter Lynch, and Pat Dorsey — the business, the moat, the financials, and the risks — as a podcast episode and a written brief.

Who builds it

TickerBase and Behind the Moat are written and published by Yehonatan. The written briefs appear on Substack, the audio on major podcast platforms, and every episode is listed on the episodes page.

The editorial north star

Every analysis must be balanced. Never an absolute bull case, never an absolute bear case — the reader should finish with a clearer view of the trade-offs, not with a recommendation. Closings hand the analytical work back to the reader as open questions. The publication does not tell anyone what a stock is worth: the valuation workbench computes a per-share value only from assumptions the reader supplies.

What you will never find here

No price targets. No forward-looking estimates. No buy, sell, or hold verdicts. No analyst ratings. Only trailing, reported facts from public filings — and the tools to reason about them yourself. The full data policy is on the methodology page.

About TickerBase · Data methodology & sources

TickerBase is provided for educational and informational purposes only. It does not constitute financial, investment, tax, or legal advice, or a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security. No price targets are published; any per-share value shown in the valuation workbench is generated entirely from reader-supplied assumptions and is not the publisher's view of fair value. Past performance does not predict future results. Figures are approximate and drawn from public filings; one-time items are noted where identified. Do your own research and consult a licensed professional before making any investment decision. The author may or may not hold positions in the securities discussed.
